Details
This pilot workshop is oriented towards people without previous experience with Kotlin (and Java). It will be also useful for people coming from other languages.
We will cover the following topics:
- What is Kotlin and where can you use it
- Setting up your first project in IntelliJ IDEA
- Writing your first lines of code in Kotlin
- Useful resources

★ Karin-Aleksandra Monoid ★
Karin is a senior software engineer with background in various programming languages. Currently she is specializing in Kotlin and advocating for functional programming (the good parts!). She probably tried your favorite backend language on frontend (Scala.js and Kotlin/JS).
★ Alex Levin ★
Alex is a senior software engineer specializing in fullstack development and Kotlin. He is passionate about knowledge sharing and brings his expertise on idiomatic Kotlin. He is an active member of a community for Kotlin starters.
★ PREPARATION ★
Please download and install IntelliJ IDEA before the workshop (~600Mb)
