React Native for Mobile App Development with Educated Machine

Our friends Darragh Canning and Micheal Reilly from Educated Machine (@educatedmachine (https://twitter.com/educatedmachine)) have kindly offered a free course on React Native for Mobile App Development for WWCode Belfast!

Educated Machine has been producing applications and providing training in development and design since 2014. They have a progressive approach to both sides of their business, their production cycles are fine-tuned from a professional process and they have discovered a standard of practice that works which they pass on to their trainees.

Their learning paths are designed to provide a fresh, human-friendly way of absorbing new knowledge and skills. Attendees will get insight into their project-based learning paths and see how anybody willing to apply themselves can master app development, from any starting point.

This event will cover:
• Planning
• Design
• Development
• Coding Languages

If you've ever had an interest in app development but didn't know where to start, we're confident this event is for you. Book now and make your ideal app a reality.

Our friends at Innovation Factory and Graffiti Recruitment are kindly sponsoring this event. They will be providing space with food and drinks. There is parking space too for those who drive, and there are buses from the City Hall for those who don't.

Our agenda:

6:00pm - Arrive, food & drinks, networking
6:30pm - Welcome from Innovation Factory and WWCode Belfast
6:45pm - Course starts
7:30pm - Break
7:45pm - Course resumes

If you would like to bring your own laptop, please have the following software pre-installed as there will be no time to set them up at the event:

• nodejs and npm https://nodejs.org/en/
• React Native CLI https://www.npmjs.com/package/react-native-cli
• Expo XDE https://expo.io/
• Android Studio: Install the recommend sdk's https://developer.android.com/studio/index.html
• For iOS, it's xcode if you have that setup you can use that for the simulator instead of android

It's no worries if you can't get the stuff installed, at the end of the workshop we can help people get set up since starting out is probably the biggest pain.

Please kindly RSVP if you are planning to attend, and make sure it is up-to-date if your plans change as space is limited.

This is a free event. There are no technical pre-requisites, so please join us and become a mobile app developer in no time.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!
