Tech Talks + Social Night: Lightning Presenters Edition!
Details
Join Women Who Code Boston for the first Tech Talks of the decade... with a twist: any attendee can come up and give a 5 minute talk on any topic of their choosing! If you’ve ever wanted to give a tech talk, this is a great opportunity to try it out in a short format and a welcoming place :)
How it works:
When you arrive, if you want to give a talk, write down your name and topic. Starting at 6:30, we will run down the list of presenters and try to get through as many presenters as possible.
Rules:
- Your talk must be 5 minutes or less
- You can speak on any topic, coding related or not! If you're not sure what to do, here are some suggestions:
- Explain [technical topic] to the audience like they are five years old
- There's a really cool feature of [x technology] that most people don't know about
- 3 most important things to know before starting to do X
- 3 things I learned about X the hard way / that surprised me
- The most epic/important/rewarding project I ever worked on
- How I learn something new
- How I got my start in tech
- No slides
- As always, speakers must agree to adhere to our Code of Conduct (https://www.womenwhocode.com/codeofconduct)

6:00 - 6:30 pm: Registration + Mingle
