6:35 - 6:55 pm: "How building an Alexa app for Imposter Syndrome helped beat my imposter syndrome", Louise Hayes
"Writing Git Hooks for your Niche Needs" - Allison King, Engineering Team Lead @ Cortico
Git hooks are an easy and super flexible way to work some automation into your already established git flow. I'll show how I wrote a git hook to automatically append a list of books I am currently reading to each of my commit messages, and how the process can be copied to build all sorts of cool hooks.
"How building an Alexa app for Imposter Syndrome helped beat my imposter syndrome" - Louise Hayes, Snr Engineer at Workgrid Software
Imposter syndrome is real, especially for upcoming female coders outnumbered 20:2 by males. If you want to boost your confidence this overview shows how to make an Alexa skill app using the AWS developer Console and an AWS lambda serverless backend triggered by Alexa! The app showcased is called RealUp! Why don’t you!
