NoVa Edition: Hacktoberfest in Northern VA

Details
It's Hacktoberfest -- a month-long celebration of open source software!
Whether you're a seasoned developer or new to the open source world, we welcome you to join us in making contributions to open source projects this month. No contribution is too small—bug fixes and documentation updates are valid ways of participating.
If you open up five pull requests between October 1 and October 31, you'll win a free, limited edition Hacktoberfest T-shirt. Pull requests do not have to be merged and accepted; as long as they've been opened between the very start of October 1 and the very end of October 31, they count towards a free T-shirt. Everyone who participates receives limited-edition Hacktoberfest stickers—regardless if you complete the five pull requests or not.
This is our second Hacktoberfest event! If you missed the first meetup, it's not too late! At this meetup we'll review what Hacktoberfest is, how it works, and walk through the resources that are available to get you started. You might even leave with PR #1 under your belt!
