[North Dallas] Intermediate Web Accessibility w/ Vanessa Alvarez

About the Talk:

The first rule of making an application accessible is to write semantic HTML. Vanessa will demo a Vue.js app that includes the correct tab index order, Aria, and Role attributes, as well as utilizing audit tools for Web Accessibility. She will also walk through implementing Voiceover, the screen reader for iOS, and explain how to navigate applications.

About the Speaker:

Vanessa was born and raised in Colombia and moved to sunny Miami 12 years ago. Vanessa went to school at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale for graphic design. In 2016 she decided to follow a new passion for web development and moved to Dallas to attend DevMountain. She currently works at Alkami Technology as a Front End Developer.
