Women Who Kata - September meetup

Details
Coders,
This month we’ll be teaming up with some of the folks from the Functional Kubs (https://www.meetup.com/FunctionalKubs) meetup group to bring you some Code Katas sponsored and kindly hosted by Workday. This will be a very hands-on session so bring your laptops. We’ll have 5 Kubs regulars (@j_jost (https://twitter.com/j_jost), @marjaimate (https://twitter.com/marjaimate), @amaz0r (https://twitter.com/amaz0r), @plallin (https://twitter.com/plallin) & @oerhill (https://twitter.com/oerhill)) on hand to pair with anyone who wants a pair and answer any questions you might have on the format.
What are Code Katas?
Katas are a fun way to practice coding, explore new programming languages and paradigms, whether you're new to programming or have a lot of experience.
We choose a simple problem to work on, then form groups to pair program on a solution for about an hour. Each group chooses a programming language that they want to work in. At the end, everyone is encouraged to show their solutions. Hopefully everybody gets to learn a little by seeing a broad variety of approaches.
Is this for me?
I’m a Complete Beginner / Seasoned Expert / Carpentry Enthusiast
Most definitely! The goal of the katas is not to show you're the best programmer around. It's to have fun, and discover new programming languages and paradigms together. We try hard to make this meetup a welcoming place for everyone regardless of who you are or your programming level.
