Women Who Code Indianapolis - Learn a New Skill With Your Library
Details
We have been given a unique opportunity to work with the the Indianapolis Public Library. IPL has offered WWCode Indy members a set number of free Team Treehouse accounts, which is an online learning platform! Work through challenges at your own pace and then join us for a series of 4 online study groups. This will be very similar to our Collab & Codes, which are events where everyone is encouraged to work through challenges together so that we can learn from and encourage each other in the process.
We have two tracks available:
Beginning Data Science
https://teamtreehouse.com/tracks/beginning-data-science
and
UX: Interaction Design
https://teamtreehouse.com/tracks/ux-interaction-design
Even if you don't plan to go into either of these fields in your career, knowing more about them can make you a more versatile coder, so this is a great, free opportunity to broaden your skillset.
The Zoom link will be the same for each, and we'll separate into breakout rooms based on the topic.
There are only a limited number of free accounts available for this event, so please only RSVP if you are serious about completing one of these tracks and plan to attend at least two of the study groups.
The Study Groups will be held from 5:30-7pm on:
- Thursday, September 2nd
- Thursday, September 9th
- Thursday, September 16th
- Thursday, September 23rd
The top participant in each track, measured by activity on Team Treehouse, will get and additional 4 weeks of free access to Team Treehouse.
This event is made possible by The Indianapolis Foundation Library Fund through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.
