About Our Event
Hackathons are great events to learn and explore new technologies. However, for many years, there has been a lack of women attending hackathons and we want to change that. This year, we want our community to open their eyes into the world of hackathons. Every attendee who has built something and presented their work in front of the community gets the Women Who Code Manila Hackathon Finisher Medal.
Audience
Around 200 attendees are coming from all areas of the tech community. Most of them are first time hackathon participants. So don't be afraid if this is the first time you'd be joining one! We are expecting 60% professionals, 25% students, 15% coming from different backgrounds who decided to learn coding. They can be developers, designers, engineers and more. Kiddie Hackathon
We will also be having a kiddie hackathon on November 25th and 26th for the kids of the attendees (max of 35 kids per day).
