Misión:

Women Who Code es una organización global sin fines de lucro dedicada a inspirar a las mujeres a sobresalir en carreras de tecnología mediante la creación de una comunidad global e interconectada. El tamaño de la organización se triplicó en 2013, y ha crecido para ser una de las mayores comunidades del mundo de mujeres en ingeniería.

Fortalecimiento:

Women Who Code es una comunidad profesional para mujeres en tecnología. Warehouse LakeHouse and Datamart in AWS with Python

Hola!! Les gusta la ciencia de datos? Pues, este mes estudiaremos este importate tema...

Como ingenieros de datos, la comprensión sólida de los conceptos de lakehouse, warehouse y data mart es crucial, ya que estos elementos son fundamentales en el diseño y desarrollo de arquitecturas de datos eficientes y escalables, permitiendo la consolidación, organización y análisis adecuado de grandes volúmenes de información para una toma de decisiones informada y estratégica en las organizaciones. En esta charla pretendo resumir estos conceptos y buscar servicios dentro de AWS que nos ayuden a consolidar estas ideas y nos den una perspectiva mas amplia para afrontar los retos de las organizaciones donde trabajamos!

Data Warehouse: Un data warehouse es un repositorio centralizado de datos empresariales que se utiliza para el análisis y la toma de decisiones. Es un sistema diseñado para almacenar grandes cantidades de datos estructurados y no estructurados de diversas fuentes, integrándolos en un formato coherente y optimizado para consultas. Un data warehouse permite realizar consultas complejas y análisis de tendencias a largo plazo.

Data Mart: Un data mart es una vista simplificada y específica de un data warehouse que se enfoca en un área de negocio o departamento en particular. Contiene datos predefinidos y resumidos que son relevantes para el análisis de ese departamento en específico. Los data marts suelen ser más pequeños y ágiles que los data warehouses, ya que se centran en necesidades específicas.

Lakehouse: Un lakehouse es una arquitectura de datos que combina las ventajas de un data warehouse y un data lake en una única plataforma. Permite almacenar datos en su formato original en un data lake, capturando información de diversas fuentes, al mismo tiempo que ofrece capacidades de consulta y análisis en tiempo real utilizando tecnologías como Apache Spark, brindando flexibilidad, escalabilidad y control sobre los datos.
