Women Who Code Portland is so excited to have February's Networking Night hosted at Google's downtown Portland office! The women of Google Portland will be talking about the ups and downs of working in a remote office. Come join us for a night of networking and discussion!

👩🏽 OUR SPEAKERS 👩🏽

Huaiyu (Katie) Liu
Katie is a Senior Software Engineer at Google, currently working on the Google Station project that provide users access to a free & good-quality Internet experience through public WiFi. Prior to joining Google, she was a Research Scientist at Intel labs, where she had worked on a wide range of research projects including energy efficient wireless communications, scalable virtual world infrastructure, trusted cloud computing, etc. Huaiyu holds a Ph.D. in Computer Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin.

Kenzie Schmoll
Kenzie is a Software Engineer on the Flutter Developer Experience team. She recently transferred to the Portland office after working on Google Maps in Seattle for the last year. Before Google, she attended Linfield College where she played on the softball team and double majored in Computer Science and Math. Outside of work, you can find Kenzie on the basketball court, the golf course, or playing the guitar.

Reina Mei
Reina is a Software Engineer on Google Station. She has worked at Google for 2.5 years. She likes dogs and cats and binge watching TV shows.

Ann Wallace (@annnwallace)
Ann is the Global Security Practice Lead for Google Cloud PSO. Before Google Ann spent 14 years at Nike in various engineering and architecture roles. CloudNOW named her one of the top 10 Women in Cloud in 2015. When not working, Ann can be found traveling and ultra-trail running.

Marea Hall
Marea is a Software Engineer on the Google Nest team. Before Google, she worked at Intel for 2 years on a cloud software team and a Manufacturing Tools software team. Outside of work, Marea enjoys hanging with her husband Travis and their 2 mini-australian dogs and cat. She also likes to cook and plays soccer regularly.
