Want to learn how to build your own website? Already have your own site and want to have more control over it? Interested in learning to program but want to start small?
If you answered yes to any of the questions above, this is for you! This beginner-level overview will take you from a blank page to a functioning website, including writing valid HTML, adding links and images, applying CSS styles, and positioning elements.
TECH REQUIREMENTS
• Your laptop.
• A text editor installed before class. We recommend Sublime Text (It's free and available for both Mac and PC).
• Google Chrome web browser installed before class.
HOW TO FIND US
This meetup is sponsored by WICSE (Women in Computer Science and Engineering) and will be held on the USF campus.
We will be in the Engineering II building on the third floor in room 313.
Directions: Enter campus through USF Main Entrance. Turn left at first traffic light, (USF Alumni Dr.) and enter the second entrance to the College of Engineering parking lot. Metered parking is available in the circular drive. Come in the main Computer Engineering Building II, (ENB), turn left as you come through the double doors. The elevator will be on your left. Come to the 3rd floor and turn right after exiting the elevator.
