HackNight: Leadership Opportunities and FREE STUFF!

Details
Learn more about leadership opportunities with Women Who Code at our next HackNight!
Sarah Olson started this group almost three years ago and has been Director ever since, but now she's ready to step back into an advisory/mentorship role. At this event, Sarah will talk about the positions we have available on our local team and how you can help support women, transgender and gender-nonconforming tech professionals in our area through a leadership role with Women Who Code Twin Cities.
We'll also be giving away a lot of FREE STUFF at this event. Over the past three years, we've received a bunch of donated goods, as well as items we purchased for our events. And we're ready to give it all away! We'll hold a raffle for each item specifically, so you'll only win the stuff you actually want.
What kinds of things are we giving away? We have not one, but two 3D printers to give away! We've got devices, STEM toys, coding books, Trello t-shirts, and more! You'll have to be present to win, so you'd better not miss this event.

- About HackNights *
Women Who Code Twin Cities meets monthly in various locations across the Twin Cities metro area. Our workshops are open to technologists of all levels, from complete beginners to seasoned professionals.
Our typical HackNight is our "Choose-Your-Own-Adventure" event. You can:
-
work on any coding project you'd like—whether that's learning to code, learning a new language or collaborating on a new application or website with other members
-
meet with our Women Who Speak group to work on your public speaking skills
-
work on an electronic and/or crafting project with our Women Who Make group
-
chat and network with other members
If you're not sure what to do, we have leaders and mentors who can help guide you!
Additional Notes
Women Who Code Twin Cities events are gender-inclusive. We welcome transgender and non-binary members!
Out of consideration for our hosts, please try not to arrive prior to 6pm. They kindly host us after their normal business hours and it can be tough to handle early arrivals.
To ensure a safe and comfortable space for our members to network and collaborate, we request that recruiters and allies refrain from attending our HackNight events. If you would like to support our group, please contact the organizers to discuss the best ways to get involved. Thank you!
