Have you been hearing about bots and don’t understand what the big deal is? Come and see out how bots can make your user experience simpler, easier and more fun! We’ll explore some of the basic do’s and don’ts of building bots using some real world examples and firsthand experience (and mistakes). Find out how to get started building your very own bot using the Microsoft bot framework and how to take your bot from simple to smart using Microsoft Cognitive Services.

Nastassia is a Technical Evangelist at Microsoft, where she is focused on teaching and learning about all things Azure and enabling people with the tools they need to build all the cool things they can dream up. She first discovered her passion for technology at UBC where she majored in Cognitive Systems, a combination of Computer Science, Psychology, Linguistics and Philosophy. Before joining Microsoft she worked as software developer and QA tester as an intern at a variety at companies and finally landed as a software developer at Mojio, a connected car company out of Vancouver, building APIs and learning all about IoT.
