Whether the domain we are working in is business, entertainment, politics, or healthcare, data is the essential element of the solution to every problem. The amount of data available today is increasing exponentially; 90% of today world’s data was generated over the last two years. With so much data out there, we need to be able to make sense out of it, using specific tools to store, analyze, and visualize it.
This 2-hour workshop is the first in a series of 5 workshops (all hosted by Lighthouse Labs) to give you an introduction to data science. The most exciting part is that the cost is not even comparable to other similar programs and online courses. Besides, the more sessions you attend, the lower the price you have to pay. This first workshop in the series will be focused on data wrangling and how to clean and prepare our data before any type of analysis and processing.
These workshops are intended for beginners to data science; it’s totally fine if you are a complete newbie to data science (like me!), but in order to best take advantage of the workshops, we recommend that you:
- Know at least one programming language
- Have experience with the command line
- Be familiar with Git and GitHub
Requirements:
Bring your own laptop + charger!
