Join us for a Fireside Chat with Amy Goldlist, BCIT Faculty and Data Analyst in Residence and WWCode Network Director, Eliza Sarobhasa. We will be discussing topics such as her career journey from Mathematician to Data Science, her role models and mentors, her shifting focus from student to instructor, Data Leadership, Data-Driven cultures, BCIT's Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics program, and advice for young women entering this profession.
[SPEAKER BIO]
Amy Goldlist is faculty in the Operations Management department in the School of Business + Media at BCIT, where she is Program Head for Business Analytics. She is the Data Analyst in Residence at the BCIT Centre for Excellence in Analytics. She has an MSc in Mathematics from UBC, focusing on Algebraic Number Theory, and an MDS (Masters of Data Science) also from UBC.
She is a coauthor of the textbook: "Essentials of Business Statistics" with Ken Black, Timothy Edmunds and Ignacio Castillo, available via Wiley Publishing. She is also a co-author on the textbook "Business Mathematics", available through OpenEd BC at https://pressbooks.bccampus.ca/businessmathematics/.
