Come sample our Women Writing for (a) Change writing circles in Jacksonville and begin to explore writing poetry, using your own life as a poetic source.

The class is a "sampler" for our Spring Series, which begins the following week. In that series, we'll look at poetry and poetic techniques to infuse your writing with ideas, themes, and techniques to enrich your writing...whether you write poems or just get more poetic in your daily writing practice.

You don't have to be a professional writer to join in. Use this class to find out more about the amazing process used by thousands of women across the country to develop their authentic voice through writing and community-building. We'll use prompts, poetry and prose to practice many different writing techniques.

WHEN: January 18, 2016, 6-8 p.m.
WHERE: Women Writing for (a) Change, Jacksonville
CLASS SIZE: Limited to 15 spaces.

FEE: $25 for the sampler (non-refundable unless cancelled two weeks before class)

“A circle of women may be the most powerful force known to humanity. If you have one, embrace it. If you need one, seek it. If you find one, for the love of all that is good and holy, Dive in. Hold on. Love it up. Get naked. Let them see you. Let them hold you. Let your reluctant tears fall. Let yourself rise fierce and love great. You will be changed. The very fabric of your Being will be altered by this. If you allow it. Please, allow it.”— Unknown
