You are cordially invited to attend our upcoming Spring Public ReadAround, a celebration event to support the latest group of pioneering women writers of Women Writing for (a) Change, Jacksonville! We've got more wonderful, talented women writers who have been crafting poems since early January in the Spring Series: Finding Your Poetic Voice; they will have some special stories to share with you. We will also have artwork displayed from our women writers who double as artists! Hopefully, we will also have a voice or two from our Fourth Friday class at the library.
WHAT: Women Writers reading their work
WHEN: Saturday, April 22, 2017
WHERE: A Riverside home garden and courtyard (1610 Osceola Street)
TIME: 6-8 p.m.
This event will mark the debut of the new WWfac "She-Shed," a writing retreat space in the garden of this historic home. (Check it out, then come back again the following weekend for the Riverside-Avondale Preservation Historic Homes Tour!)
Come join the fun and experience some delightful readings, delicious food, and even a bit of music on the ukulele! See what this courageous and talented group of women is all about.
Hope to see you there. And thanks for the support.
p.s. Sorry guys, women only!
