Calling the Daughters - Stepping into our sacred wisdom

Link visible for attendees

Most of us go through life ill-prepared for the changes that befall us as we travel from child, to teenager, to woman. From daughter to maybe wife and mother, grandmother. Through all the stages of life, in body and in soul. Sometimes we are lucky to have a wise mother or sister, aunt, or grandmother that walks with us - initiate us on our journey. But most of us struggle through it alone.

How can we change this for our daughters and for ourselves? Join us for a facilitated event with Judy Bekker, author of the book "Calling the Daughters", an exploration of Rites of Passage.

Judy, who is a director of Renaissance Business Associates, Cape Town, South Africa, has been facilitating internationally in corporates, non profits and educational institutions for over thirty years.

She has specialised in personal, spiritual and leadership development, communication skills, relationship building and solo wilderness experiences. She continues to work as a mentor and supervisor for individuals and small teams. For ten years she contributed to Gender Equity and Reconciliation International as their Training Director in Southern Africa. She is committed to gender and cultural healing and reconciliation as a way for us to build stronger community in our workplaces and our societies.

She is author of Calling the Daughters - a book on Rites of Passage – and a process co-designed and practiced daughter by daughter. Judy has been guiding these for over 25 years.

She is married and is mother to two daughters
