PEOPLE OF ALL GENDERS ARE WELCOME TO JOIN US!

THIS IS A JOINT EVENT WITH MINNESOTA AGILE COMMUNITY (MAC) AND WOMEN IN AGILE TWIN CITIES.

A problem many teams (and organizations) encounter is the perception that communication has taken place. This perspective gets in the way of real communication happening and may lead to people not feeling comfortable speaking up; poor coordination that causes delays in delivering outcomes, increased risks, reduced quality; and/or excessive amounts of emergent work.

How do we fix it? Improve our ability to communicate.
More specifically, improve our emotional intelligence so we can really hear what is being said [and not said], which will help us learn to ask better questions to gain greater clarity and help close the gap on achieving shared understanding.

Speaker Bio:
Paulie Skaja lives and breathes Agile; it’s in her DNA. She ran her first project in 1992. Having never been formally trained in project management, Paulie just did what came naturally, such as holding daily meetings, working with the business to make sure their needs were being met and having her teams focus on celebrating all their successes. She was agile before agile was a thing.

She has used these tactics to support teams across many industries, create charter schools and publish a couple of books. Today, she’s an Enterprise Agility Coach for a large, international energy client, where she is working with senior leadership on transformation strategies, along with supporting teams in improving their ways of working.

In her “spare” time, Paulie is an ICAgile authorized trainer, teaching the Agile Coaching Certification and the Agile Team Facilitator classes. Paulie also recently obtained her ICF-ACC designation and is working towards her professional coaching level certificate.
