Her current data science interests are in the application of AI/ML techniques to inform decision making in clinical operations and study designs in the biopharma and healthcare industry. She is a passionate learner with past research experiences in laboratories for gait and mobility research, robotic sciences, and neuroimaging. She has a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
Lindsey Osimiri is a Senior Data Scientist at BigHat Biosciences who is excited about using computational methods and high-throughput biological data to build novel products She supports BigHat’s antibody therapeutics programs through building pipelines for high-throughput data and interactive data visualization tools. She has a Ph.D. in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from UC Berkeley.
Fernanda Guizar is a Computational Biologist at Brightseed where she collaborates with domain experts, optimizing machine learning models, and standardizing pipelines for efficient data processing and extraction of valuable insights. She holds a Ph.D. in Population Biology from UC Davis.
Marissa Hirst is a Bioinformatician & Owner of Marissa Hirst, LLC. She is passionate about answering complex data-driven questions. She likes the challenges of the “messiest, most complicated, multi-omic datasets” so that she can transform them into a compelling story based on the data. She has a diverse background working on microbes to humans, and she has experience analyzing genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic data. She has a Ph.D. in Microbiology with an Emphasis in Biotechnology from UC Davis.
