In a world where technology is becoming the paradigm, what role do relationship based, niche business models have to play? In particular, what value can relationship based third-level education bring to a new generation immersed in digitalisation? Dr. Susan Walsh, Founder and Director of Globe Business College in Munich will provide us with insights on these topics as well as discussing the future of third level business education in a world increasingly driven by technology 19:40 Brain Tumor Segmentation using deep learning It all sounds wonderful and scary at the same time when a deep-learning algorithm can assist a medical specialist in making decisions. In this talk, we present how we employed a deep learning algorithm to help radiologists analyze Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scans of the human brain and detect tumor areas with a reasonably high accuracy. We focus on the technical aspects of the deep learning algorithm, namely the image dataset , the deep-learning model and the Intel-optimized frameworks which made the prediction successful and performant on Intel® Xeon Scalable processors. Presenter: Sabina Kofler, Agile Coach and Scrum Master & Stefan Rothermel, Head of Agile, @Mercateo AG. To move forward faster with inspect and adapt by using e.g. the scrum framework, it’s important to give a high level of autonomy to the team. In order to be able to adjust to observed impacts of experimentation organisations need a high level of transparency - information broadly available. With inspect and adapt we can also influence our career. Advanced analytical skills are important to organisations using agile methodologies at two different stages: early in the process high level analysis can foster the formulation of hypothesis about what is important for customers. Later in the process these skills help evaluate the impact of changes to the product. And the development of the data processing tools benefit from short iteration cycles and fast feedback typical for agile development. 20: 40 Networking If you want to know more about our past events, check out this blog posts: https://www.womeninbigdata.org/2018/11/27/munich-women-in-big-data-event-hosted-by-gemalto-connected-women/ https://www.womeninbigdata.org/2018/06/29/women-in-big-data-munich-meetup-at-google/ https://www.womeninbigdata.org/2018/03/30/wibd-meetup-in-munich/
