About Meena:
Dr. Meena Arunachalam is a Principal Engineer in the Cloud Platforms Group in the Data Center Group Business at Intel Corp. Her current focus is on Cloud Architectures and she works closely with customers to bring current and future technologies to successfully launch into their Data centers. Her expertise includes computer architecture, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning/ Deep Learning segments, workload analyses and optimizations, cache and memory hierarchy tuning etc., and holistically study platform and customer usage cases and optimize performance efficiency. She has worked on many product generations of Xeon and Xeon Phi and published IEEE conference and Journal papers and two book chapters. Meena chaired the First AIM 2017 (Architectures for Intelligent Machines) IEEE Workshop in Sept 2017 in the areas of architecture and AI. She passionately advocates for a diverse and inclusive workforce in the Tech industry and is an active leader in organizations such as WiBD (Women in Big Data), WIN (Women at Intel), Mentoring circles etc., and recently was an invited Panelist on the popular Women Who Code Portland’s “Women in Engineering Leadership” with other Senior local Women leaders.
About Soumya:
Soumya Guptha is a Marketing Manager at Intel leading strategic marketing efforts for System Simulation Solutions within Software & Services Group. Over her career span of 17 years at Intel she has been in leadership roles spanning product planning, product management, and software development optimizing applications to run best on Intel platforms.
Soumya is one of the founding members of Women in Big Data. She is an ambassador of Women in Data Science. She is passionate in helping women grow in their careers, and believes data analytics is the “next big thing,” with huge potential and an ocean of opportunities.
Soumya has earned an M.S. in Computer Science from the Portland State University. She lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband and 2 girls and loves hiking in the beautiful gorge.
About Kripa:
Kripa’s professional experience at Intel includes technical roles in different business groups; performance analysis of different infrastructure components for the Datacenters as part of Intel IT, Deep learning in the Artificial Intelligence Products Group; Design and Validation of Networking products, Memory Controllers and CPU, and I/O interface definition in the enterprise platforms group. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Machine Learning, with possible applications to Quantum Deep Learning and Intelligent Robotics, with background Masters’ degrees in Biomedical Engineering and in Electrical Engineering. Outside of her official job role, she is the Oregon IT site advisor, member of the IT Tech council in Oregon, and chair of the Oregon Technical Leadership forum, on the board of WIN (Women at Intel Network); she is passionate about helping the technical career development of Intel employees. Outside of work, she enjoys volunteering in the community; and activities such as painting and music; she loves travelling, swimming, hiking and horseback riding.
