It is estimated that a new tech start-up is founded every 20 minutes in Berlin, which is why we are so excited about our debut in Germany. Speaking with some of the most influential voices in Berlin’s tech hub on how we tackle diversity, equity, and inclusion, honing in on the experiences of our panel where they can positively influence and affect hiring processes and culture.

Jonathan Soifer
Jonathan has over 15 years of management experience and had the chance of working in Brazil, the U.S., Israel, and Germany. His expertise is in the area of Culture and Values, with a strong focus on how behaviour and process impacts employees engagement and satisfaction - and particularly how processes and policies can foster or hinder diversity, inclusiveness, and belonging.

Roos Jansen
Roos Jansen is leading the People & Culture Chapter at the world’s first crypto bank Bitwala. She has gained over 6 years’ experience in the area of People & Leadership development, managing hyper-growth twice, and fintech. Her current focus is set on driving diversity and building a strong Remote-friendly culture. Roos is the first in Europe to enable accepted Period Leave at work.

Marina Ivanovic
Marina started her career in Technical Recruitment working with emerging tech and gaming start-ups. Being a queer woman, very early on, she got involved in diversity and inclusion topics in start-ups which she continued working on after moving to Berlin where she is currently leading the recruiting department at Kolibri Games.

Matthias Schmeißer
Matthias works as Director of Talent Acquisition (TA) at Scout24 Group and has over 10 years of experience in recruiting. He built his core TA expertise mainly in the area of Tech Recruiting where he worked over the last 6 years in different tech companies in Berlin. He has become a popular TA Voice by running the TA Lab in Berlin during his time at Zalando. He is driven by constantly hiring expert leaders in-house, and helping TA professionals to grow. He also likes to talk about employer branding, DE&I, and assessment/diagnostics.

Jessy Halison (she/her):
Jessy is a French Berlin-based software QA engineer with more than 10 years of experience, turned Engineering Manager. The backstage of big companies, startups, and tech domains have no secrets for her.
Passionate about lifting up others and diversity, equity, and Inclusion, she now uses her experience to help engineering teams grow, be empowered, and be at the image of our society. She believes in the power of representation, and in centering entrepreneurship around solving people's problems. Feminist, body-positive, and anti-racism activist, she tries to make this world a better place.
