The purpose of "Women in Digital Switzerland" (http://womenindigitalswitzerland.com/) is to bring together women working in digital in Switzerland, encourage thought leadership, networking, and sharing of best practices through discussion and presentations.

Our meetups are a 'for the community, by the community' type of event. Monthly presentations are held by community members and topics are chosen by the volunteer speaker or the community.

Lastly, -- and we are asked this quite often! -- yes, men are welcome to join our meetups too!

Dear WDS-Community Following our networking event at lake Zurich, where we carefully listened to your expectations from the WDS Community in Zurich, we decided to offer you a mix of various series of digital and physical events, each series having its own purpose and giveaway. We are happy to announce the next physical event will take place on the 13th of October @headsquarter. Our fantastic speakers Ophelia and Sina give us an update on the crypto market and explain the recent evolution of bitcoin as well as their view on how digital assets might change our daily life. Moreover, you get great insights about women in Blockchain and how you can easily jump into a new career field like Crypto. She began her career working for a venture capital firm based in Menlo Park. After her MBA, she became a banker specializing in mergers and acquisitions in technology firms at UBS and Evercore, advising on multi-billion-dollar financing. She co-founded the Amun Group as Head of Products and President, with a mandate to structure innovative financial products and develop settlement infrastructure for crypto space. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Stanford and an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University. Sina Meier is Managing Director and Head of Switzerland at 21 Shares AG. Sina joined 21 Shares from her previous role at Credit Agricole next bank (Suisse) SA, where she was heading business development for the Swiss-German and French-speaking parts of Switzerland. Sina holds a diploma as a Certified International Wealth Manager (CIWM) and has held various positions within major financial institutions such as Credit Agricole, Clariden Leu, and UBS SA. Highly motivated, energetic, and with a strong entrepreneurial spirit she is leveraging her 25 years experience to support this new disruptive industry and is committed to supporting women in the fast-paced block-chain sector and increasing their knowledge and understanding. The online Lunch & Learn sessions aim at exchanging insights on our shared passion for the world of digital while giving you key learnings that you can use in your professional life. For this first session of our Lunch & Learn series, we are pleased to welcome Angélique Zessin, Digital Change Consultant at Atos, to share insights on how to successfully manage the « people » side of change. After this session, you will know basic techniques for facilitating people to change in order to fully realize the business value of your digital transformation initiative. Angelique will leverage technology to make you actively participate in the session: get ready to get engaged and entertained! Digital transformation is not only about technology.
