After a few months of down time while we all adjust to the new normal, it's time for us to get the ball rolling again and embrace the magic of video conferencing. We're partnering with our good friends over at Women in Male Dominated Industries to bring you an amazing talk to help you do more public speaking!

Does the thought of starting to do public speaking at events in your male-dominated industry intrigue you? The focus of this hands-on session is to look at what has stopped you from getting on stage (in person or virtual) in the past and explore how to move past your fears, generate topics to give a talk on, boost your speaking confidence, and allow you to practice speaking online in a safe space.

At the end of the workshop you will have a few ideas for talks and a chance to practice speaking. We’ll cover:

  • Dispelling some myths about speakers/speaking
  • You are always an expert in your own story – how to use this effectively
  • Coming up with topics and choosing one
  • Practice speaking in front of a group online (optional)

The goal of this talk is to enable you to become known as an emerging leader in your field and contribute to your industry, even if you've never spoken on a (virtual) stage before.

Note: You do NOT have to have any experience in public speaking. This workshop is for all levels of experience.
