Join us for the last Women in Product event of 2020. We will be exploring all things Product Discovery - Product Discovery is a big ambiguous hot mess at times, we are often grabbling with innovator's bias, time pressure and JFDIs. It can be difficult to find out where to start; at this event we are talking to three women from very different organisations, who will be sharing their learnings from building from scratch to large mature organisations. In addition we have the great pleasure to announce Cat Wildman from The Gender Equality Collective as our keynote speaker kicking off the event in style! Meet the chair --Neha Datt - Product Consultant Neha’s role as a product consultant, trainer and coach is focused on bringing a people-centred approach to designing business strategy, delivering ace customer experiences and shaping organisational culture. As a strong advocate of lean, modern agile and service design, Neha works with startups and enterprises, across a range of industries. Despite 15+ years in tech, she loves the diversity, continuous learning and mentoring her work facilitates. Meet the keynote speaker --Cat Wildman Co-Founder of The GEC, is a mum of 3 and an award-winning Product person. Cat studied science throughout her education, earning a degree in Biomedical and Physiological Sciences. From there she went into Technology and found her home. It was when she became an employer that Cat realised there was such a problem with gender disparity in tech, specifically in her recruitment pipeline, but it was when she became a mother that she realised that she had a personal responsibility to change things Meet the panel --Wendy Orr - Product Consultant Wendy has been making digital products for over 15 years in media, culture, eCommerce and technology companies. As a consultant, she helps leadership and product teams to focus on creating value for their organisation by finding the right problems to solve. She favour outcomes over outputs, innovation over imitation and dogs over cats. --Kate Rylance - UX and Research Manager at Very.com Kate leads the UX Research and Design teams at The Very Group and is passionate about crafting experiences based on human behaviour. With a background in consumer and organisational Psychology, she’s passionate about the ‘why’ and uses this in her day to day work to improve the way the organisation thinks about the digital experience. She works with the product teams across the org to conduct discovery and prioritise the right opportunities. More recently, given current climates, her attention has shifted to rapidly upskilling in leading through uncertainty, creating high performing remote teams and fostering a strong UX team culture. Outside of work Kate plays an active role in the wider community creating awareness of the UX industry and the amazing opportunities it holds for pupils, students and young females alike --Robin Zaragoza - CEO and Founder at The Product Refinery Robin has been building products for 15 years, including several years as a PM coach and consultant. Robin is now Founder and CEO at The Product Refinery (TPR). TPR creates programs designed specifically for product management leaders to practice and develop the critical skills of leading others. Robin is passionate about making meaningful connections, personal growth, nutrition, the ethical treatment of animals and the planet, and being a great mom So grab a cup of your favourite tipple and prepare for an evening of great debate and insights.
