You're invited to the next Women in Product London event!

So, how technical are you...? How do you work with engineering teams...? For many product managers, these are familiar questions that surface in interviews and general discussion. How you answer these questions is crucial in how you're perceived as a product manager and can make-or-break a job application.

During the evening you'll hear from our super speakers on what technical skills they recommend you have, how these skills can help you in your product role and provide examples on what works (and what doesn't!) when leading an engineering team on the journey to building great products.

There'll be the opportunity to ask questions of the speakers, learn from real-life examples and have plenty of time for networking over drinks and canapés.

----MEET THE SPEAKERS

Denise Jones - Technical Product Manager at Expedia Group

Denise is a 20-year veteran of the Seattle tech industry, at such companies as Microsoft, Corbis Corp., and Expedia. She spent ten years as a database engineer and architect, and transitioned to program and product management at Microsoft. In 2015 she transferred to Expedia’s London office, where she is the product owner for a backend site service that integrates data science algorithms. She is on the board of Women at Expedia.

Caroline Clark - Technical Product Lead at Holiday Extras

Caroline leads the Integrations and Core Services teams at Holiday Extras. She currently manages products created with APIs, micro-services and data event driven architecture to deliver key capabilities to the business, enabling customers to search, book and manage their bookings through Holiday Extras websites and Partner API.

Caroline has no formal education in computer science - what she knows she's learnt along the way by asking all the dumb questions (!) and through embracing a mindset of continuous learning. She's written in the past about how she transitioned to becoming a technical product manager - what she thought she needed to know, and what she actually did need to know.

Venue, food and drinks proudly sponsored by Adaptive Lab.
