For our 2nd birthday we will be launching #WIT Pledge
No More Lip Service, It’s time to make our own marks
One of our aims as a group is to support the community and mentor and promote leadership and careers, for women in tech in the North of the UK. We try not to just talk about diversity, but engage, represent and drive change in the sector.
At this meetup we’ll get together and talk about what we, us, and you, can do to help make a difference! We’ll hear from a panel of inspirational speakers, you’ll have the opportunity to share your own ideas for actions to make a difference in our Lightening Talks round and we’ll all go away with some ideas of how to support women and diversity in tech and agree our own #WITpledge
#WITpledge is a fab opportunity to share your commitments to Women In Tech and have some accountability to it. Come and join in the fun, meet some new people and help drive the diversity in tech agenda forwards.
Panel Discussion – We’ll hear from some technology leaders in the area who are doing great things to support #womenintech what the barriers are, and how we can learn from what’s already been achieved.
Lightening Talks – We are looking for talks of 5 minutes long with a focus on what you have done, or plan to do, for your #WITpledge
Remember bring your male colleagues and friends too.
Look forward to seeing you all!
