Welcome to Women Empowered! Who are we? My name is Chawn Peterson I have over 25 years of managing and growing multi-industry operations, which offers a unique outlook and a highly centered relationship building approach. My areas of specialty include; Client Relationship Development, Team Building, Event Planning, Networking and Business Strategy.
I have created meet-up groups in the past. With changing locations those groups dissolved. This Meet-Up group and the Facebook group for Women came into play when I began to build a market in Eugene for her business Competitive Edge Recruiting.
I am a huge fan of and proponent of networking, which is very different today. Technology and social media have changed this game dramatically.
Benefits of Networking 1) Industry and Local Brand Leadership I got serious about my site and content, all because of networking. 2) Credibility and Following I regularly engage with people. Business and career issues and challenges are worldwide, and the virtual world makes it possible for us to find each other no matter where we live. All because of networking. 3) Real Time Information Exchange Anyone with a smartphone camera can share information real time. 4) Strategic Partnerships and Collaboration Social media makes it possible for all of us to engage with each other sharing trends, advice and business. I have met amazing people who bring value to my day, and those relationships have turned into tangible, valued business partnerships. 5) Referrals, Introductions and Connections Supporting others work, accomplishments, life events and activities is a key part of networking and relationship building. Be kind, be a connector, be a giver and a catalyst when you network. Givers get more.
Please use this group for creating valuable relationships by introducing yourself to the group, share who you are and your product. Women in this group are professionals and SPAM will not be tolerated as a group member you have a right to set boundaries as to who you communicate with and how.
