This event is open to people of all genders. We invite you for an inspiring evening with women leaders from Montreal speaking about collaboration challenges, strategies across product space, how their roles are evolving & where women leadership in product is headed. EMILIE FOURNELLE is the Head of Product Development at SPORTLOGIQ, a leading AI company specializing in advanced sports analytics. She oversees all products across the professional's team interface, media and sports betting. She has been tasked with building the product and design teams - a process she learned first-hand during her time at SweetIQ, where she built and scaled a team toward a successful exit to American media powerhouse, USA TODAY. Emilie got her footing in product working at YP, starting out at as a Go-to-Market Manager and then a Product Manager. Her late teens and early twenties are testaments to her phenomenal work ethic: while completing her bachelor’s degree and MBA, she built a successful uniform business. Her leadership values include openness and independence - two qualities she has learned from impactful mentors throughout her career. She’s a huge supporter of building diverse teams and believes diversity is the foundation for meaningful collaboration. 2. CHRISTINE ZOLTOK is a Design Lead with Shopify in Montreal. She leads a team of designers working on improving the online store buyer experience. After a few years working for digital agencies in Vancouver, Christine found her way to Montreal and product design 10 years ago. During the last decade, she worked as a Creative Director for a small mobile agency designing mobile apps for small and large brands, and as the first UX Designer at Breather, helping the team design a world-class reservation and check-in experience across multiple platforms. In her current role, she strives to lead with positivity and authenticity, and to believe in the possibility of radical growth - for her team and for herself. She believes that we work better and are more impactful when we do work that is meaningful for us, and so she is always striving to make that possible. In her experience, good collaboration is the foundation for the most impactful work, so she’s delighted to participate in this discussion. 3. LIZ McCONOMY is a Director of Marketing at USA TODAY NETWORK, the company which acquired SweetIQ in 2017. Even if she works for USA TODAY, Liz is a true Montrealer: fully bilingual with plenty of joie de vivre, Liz is a seasoned marketer with 13 years of experience under her belt. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Concordia - and has worked in advertising in both New York City and Montreal, including a 6-year stint at Yellow Pages. Today, Liz leads a team of 10 and is responsible for all content marketing, demand generation campaigns, product launches and marketing events across multiple local markets in the United States and Canada. Liz is a big believer in leading with your heart as much as your mind. To Liz, cross-functional collaboration has bred innovation, creativity and stronger results at every turn. Collaboration has been nothing positive. She hopes the days where the benefits of collaboration no longer need to be sold to corporation. Diversity in life, and in business, breeds success. 4. ALENA DAGNEAU is Head of Engineering at Make School. In this role, Alena leads a small team of engineers, designer and product manager and is responsible for delivering meaningful products for student and staff alike. She is no stranger to software development, having spent 8 years as a frontend engineer including 3 years as engineering manager, where she built large scale visualizations and educational software. She believes that versatile team members are key in creating beautiful useable products with the potential to have meaningful impact on users.

    What we're about

    Women of Product is a local community for women professionals in Montreal to openly discuss all topics associated with Product. We define Product as a discipline that consists of different expertise- Design, Development, Management, UX, Marketing, Tech and any other adjacent area. We have started this group to provide support, mentorship, growth and foster cross functional knowledge.

    We believe that an inclusive engagement will enable deeper understanding and impactful growth for women leadership in product. So I would like to invite people of all genders to join the group for our events

    Our goals:

    1. Discuss challenges and be inspired to create impact as a women leader

    2. Learn about skills, tools, trends in different areas of product

    3. Grow in your career through coaching and sharing experiences

    4. Expand your network
