Community Run for All

Immediately preceding the annual St. Pats for All Parade in Sunnyside and Woodside, we will enjoy a traffic-free Skillman Avenue for an "Irish Mile" (2.05km, a wee bit over a regular mile) community run that is casual, friendly and smile-filled. Green attire and/or Woodside-Sunnyside Runners gear is highly encouraged.

We’ll have a leader to help guide the kids, another for very casual runners and yet another for faster runners. The goal is to get outside, meet other members of our community and enjoy some exercise. No previous running experience is required. The community run will end at 1:00pm, when pre-parade speeches will commence, near Skillman Avenue and 43rd Street. After the run you are welcome to join members of Woodside-Sunnyside Runners marching in the the St. Pats For All parade, where we are officially entered.

If you are not part of the Wooside-Sunnyside Runners, we are a social, community focused running group that has been around since 2009. We offer multiple varied group runs per week and love meeting new people. And, we regularly organize charity fundraising events such as our infamous annual Halloween Pub Run. Membership is free as are our group runs.
