Next Wednesday night we are meeting at Redemption Rock Brewery, 333 Shrewsbury St, Worcester, MA for some Node.js, local beer, and pizza.

It's been too long since we've had an event so we're kicking off the next series of events at Redemption Rock.

We will have an hour of networking followed by an hour reviewing the code of some Node.js applications including Amazon Alexa Skills. We will discuss bootcamps like the new Worcester State University Coding Bootcamp as well as the year ahead for WWT events.

We have several raffles including Amazon Alexa devices thanks to our sponsor that teaches students how to program Alexa Skills.

This is a free event with pizza and beer sponsored by the Worcester State University Coding Bootcamp Certificate.

Note: Turn onto Putnam Lane off Shrewsbury Street. The brewery is next to "Electrical Wholesalers." Our group will be at the picnic tables (indoors) near the TV/Projector.

About the Bootcamp:
Worcester State University is launching the first Coding Bootcamp in Worcester starting June 1st, in partnership with Stack Education. The Coding Bootcamp at Worcester State University (www.wsucode.com) is a part-time, immersive, 14-week bootcamp that teaches the technical skills & experience needed to build web apps in Node.js from start to finish, along with the most sought-after communication, innovation, and fundamental skills needed to be successful in the modern tech economy. Taught by industry-practitioner instructors, students develop their own Amazon Alexa voice app, and build experience in a co-op style project at a company while using in-demand technologies like JavaScript, Node.js, SQL, RESTful APIs and more. Students leave with hard skills, experience, a portfolio to show for it, and a Certificate in Web Development from Worcester State University.
