August WordPress Meetup (New Location)

The WordPress Louisville meetup comes to a new location on August 8th.

## Topic

Gutenberg (https://make.wordpress.org/core/tag/gutenberg/), the new post editor, is currently available as a beta plugin. Its block-based approach is quite a departure from the current editor experience. We'll take a look at Gutenberg, go over how to try it out yourself, and how you can get involved with the project.

We'll also do a review of some of the summer news in the WordPress community, as well as some time for roundtable discussion for issues or questions anyone is facing.

## Our Location

Friend of WordPress Louisville, Suhas Kulkarni, has offered up space to host the meetup at 659 S. 8th St, Louisville, KY 40203.

There is a very small parking lot, but plenty of street parking in the area. Since the meeting begins after 6pm there would be no need to feed the meter. The building has a large sign for Indus Law Firm. From 8th street walk to the door across the parking lot, then head up the stairs right in front of you.
