TOPIC: "Testing WordPress 5.9"

Note: this event was rescheduled from November 2021. In preparation for WordPress 5.9 (due for release January 25th), we'll explore how to test the new features using the WordPress Beta Tester plugin and a local development environment so you know what to expect when you update your current sites or start a new project with one of the new themes.

2. TOPIC: "Testing WordPress 5.9"

This is an informal workshop so you can either just watch, join in the discussion or follow along. If you would like to follow along you will need:

• A local development environment such as the 'Local' app (localwp.com)
• A test install of WordPress (this is pretty much one-click if you use the above app)
• The 'WordPress Beta Tester' plugin

We will go over the basics of this briefly at the start.

We'll also explore the WordPress Development Cycle in case you'd like to get involved further.

New members are more than welcome. Please note that because our meetups are usually quite interactive and member-driven, spaces are limited, however if you do RSVP it's fine to just tune in and listen to the conversation.

Look out for a Zoom link on this page after you RSVP - it might not be there initially but will appear closer to the time of the meetup and will definitely be there on the day! I have put a placeholder in for now.
