How to get answers and keep in contact between meetups

Hey yall, we had a successful helpdesk meetup this morning at Credo, and I shared with those in attendance our two other most popular methods to communicate with one another between events. I'm passing along the info in case you want to join in.

We have an active Facebook group, as well as a Slack team. Presumably you don't need an introduction from me to Facebook, and you can find us and request an invite here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/wordpressorlando

Slack is a bit different, but think of it as an invitation based chat room on steroids. You can join "channels" to hold discussions in. By default we put you in a general channel, but we have them for suggesting articles, asking for support, talking about the meetup, even one for Lego! You can also hold one on one chats with anyone else in the channel, which are private that only the two of you (or more if you create a chat group) can see.

Slack can run in your browser, but there are also apps for most phone and computer OS'. You can request an invite to our team here: https://wporl.herokuapp.com/

From that link you can make an account on Slack, which only works for our team. There are other teams that all have their own accounts, like the WordPress.org one found at https://make.wordpress.org/chat/. There is a quick tutorial, but message me if you have Slack questions.

Hope to see all of you there!

Thanks,
David Laietta
