# Building custom Gutenberg Blocks with ACF
The new block-based editor, Gutenberg, was released earlier this year and it brings with it challenges and opportunities for WordPress Developers.
Luckily Advanced Custom Fields introduced a beta version which allowed the creation of custom blocks using PHP.
In this talk I share how I have made my starter theme Gutenberg ready and how I have created custom blocks using ACF.
