WP Analytics [5 of 6]: Build Dashboards & Reporting in Minutes not Weeks

Link visible for attendees

WordPress powers 38% of the internet and is a powerhouse as a marketing CMS. Still, not enough is written about how a WordPress website & its impact on related product applications (standalone, plugin, etc) can be reliably measured.

"You cannot manage what you cannot measure" - Peter Drucker

In this series, we will cover the current WordPress analytics landscape, how to make a tracking plan, how to migrate to open source tracking options (while respecting privacy), and finally how to leverage WordPress data with a cutting-edge marketing stack.

QUICK FACTS:
- No coding experience is required for this workshop
- There will be a 30 minute Q&A at the end of each session
- All events will be recorded
- Slides will be made available with the recording when posted on YouTube
- We will be using open source options such as Rudderstack with Avo workbench and compare those to private enterprise options

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Victor Ramirez began his foray into the interwebs building websites and email newsletters for various high school art projects. Recently, he was at Dow Jones defining WordPress at News Corp. He now is a lead product analytics engineer at The Knot Worldwide. On the side, he runs An Abstract Agency (a WordPress agency), co-organizes the WPNYC MeetUp, & teaches high school students to code.

WordPress' 19th Anniversary Mixer at Moynihan Food Hall

Needs a location

Hey WordPress NYC Family!

WordPress turns 19 years old this year. Yes, 19!!

We're planning a mixer celebrating WordPress' 19th Anniversary for our group. We're gathering in person at the NYC Moynihan Train Hall for snacks and sweet treats. We have a limit of 30 with +1s encouraged.

The high ceilings, open floor plan and expansive space will allow members to chat and move around freely. Members who have an affinity for history, art, and architecture will want to explore.

We will have wristbands to help us find each other and stickers for you to indicate to others to please wear a mask when talking with you.

Snacks and sweet treats are sponsored by Kinsta to celebrate WordPress' May 27th, 2022 milestone. Please note that everyone will be responsible for paying for their own meal and drinks.

Looking for help with a stubborn WordPress issue that you just can’t figure out? Maybe you're an experienced developer and looking to just give back to the community. Maybe you just want to come down and hang out with other WordPress people.

Whatever your reason, join us for an informal Help Desk night where we learn by sharing WordPress techniques and best practices. There are no presentations—just members helping each other. All experience levels welcome. This is a give and get Meetup: Give some help and get back from others—even if you don't have much experience with WordPress.

WHAT TO BRING:

  1. A laptop so that you can get online and participate.
  2. A desire to have fun and learn — all experience levels welcome!
