Customizing the WordPress Admin

Details

A large part of WordPress's appeal for developers and users alike is the interface and its ease of use. Since WordPress core does so much across so many components, to really tailor your experience it's important to decide what can be added as well as what can be removed. In this presentation, Helen Hou-Sandi will be talking through some case studies of admin integration's for her clients as well as sharing some code for inspiration.

OPENING PRESENTATION:

RankWP: Part of the reason for the success of WordPress is the power of it's plugins. You can find multiple plugins for virtually anything you want. However, when you install a plugin, it's a commitment and risk. You grant it full access to your web site, so it makes sense to be careful and thorough when choosing them. rankwp.com (http://rankwp.com/) is designed to make this job easier.

GENIUS BAR:

Bring your WordPress questions! As always, we'll have some geniuses on hand to help you get answers.
