What we’re about

A peer to peer meet-up for documentarians. If you care about helping your readers have an awesome experience when they finally do read the docs, this meetup is for you. If you want to meet with other people that have chosen this path in the Amsterdam area, to share war stories or to get inspired, come and join us on one of our meetups. This meetup was inspired by the Write the Docs movement, please visit: www.writethedocs.org for more information.

The Write The Docs Amsterdam meetup is highly inclusive. Anyone with an interest in technology, communication, documentation and users experience is welcome. This can include programmers, tech writers, analysts, customer support folks, and marketeers.. If you have a suggestion for future discussion topics, or would like to make a presentation, please contact the group organisers.

Write the Docs is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of event participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any event venue, including talks. Event participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the event without a refund (if applicable) at the discretion of the event organizers. You can find our CoC at the Write the Docs website

We try to record and then publish the presentations/talks so those unable to attend can also benefit. Please take note that by attending you agree to this.

State of Docs 2026: What's Changed and What's Next

The pace of evolution in the documentation space is astonishing. Since the 2025 State of Docs report, AI capabilities have matured, new practices are emerging, and it's easier than ever to bring docs and product closer together.

Join us to discuss how things are changing and help shape the discussion in the 2026 report.

Organized by Adyen and GitBook in conjunction with Write the Docs Amsterdam

Join documentation leaders for a panel discussion reflecting on the past year and looking ahead to trends shaping 2026.
    We'll explore questions like:

    • How has AI's role in documentation evolved since 2025?
    • What new practices are emerging in documentation teams?
    • Where are we seeing the biggest shifts in how documentation creates value?

Plus plenty of time to connect with other documentation professionals over dinner and drinks.

More details on panelists and discussion topics coming soon.
Space is limited, so please only RSVP if you can attend.
