WTD Ottawa Shopify Meetup (Remote edition)

Write the Docs Ottawa and Shopify are pleased to invite you to a remote edition of Write the Docs Ottawa! Join us to meet your fellow documentation enthusiasts on-line, including developers, technical writers, customer support, and anyone else who cares about supporting great experiences with software.

For this edition we are very pleased to have Neil Perlin, President of Hyper/Word Services, as our remote presenter. Neil will present on Information 4.0 with both a technical overview and a demonstration of a contextualization implementation that you can do today !

About Neil:

Neil has spent 41 years in technical communications, with 32 in training, consulting, and development for online help and documentation, eLearning, and mobile. He specializes in RoboHelp and Flare for online help, Mimic for eLearning, and ViziApps for iPhone and Android mobile apps. He has also worked with many now-dead tools like ForeHelp and HDK and still has the software for many of them.

Neil also trains and consults on documentation methodologies like single sourcing, topic-based authoring, structured authoring, and procedure review and documentation. He also offers troubleshooting to convert old projects between different formats and tools and to fix coding problems in old projects. Finally, he offers strategic consulting support to help companies determine their online “content” direction through a maze of options.
