Write the Docs Ottawa and Shopify are pleased to invite you for an evening of socialization, networking, and talks. This time we are pleased to present a special holiday themed edition of Write the Docs (featuring a raffle and holiday goodies) to celebrate the last meetup of the year ! :( Recently I've been reflecting on some of our previous speakers and trends in the industry and it's got me to thinking: What the F**K is a tech writer anyway !? In this spirit of animated enquiry, the next edition of WTD proposes to try to shed some light on this question through a collaborative activity where we can open up and share our experience as tech writers. Tom Johnson has postulated in a wonderful blog post that every tech writing project is a monster that we battle and slay !

If this is the case, then it stands to reason that every tech writer is forged in the fires of experience. Please take a moment to reflect on your career ups and downs and the experiences the defined you as a tech writer. Then come ready to share. We'll ask at least one person form each group to come up and present.
EVENT SCHEDULE
6:00 to 6:30: Refreshments and mingle
6:30 to 6:45: Andrew Johnston - WTF is a tech writer anyway !!!
6:45 to 7:30: Group activity, note taking
7:30 to 8:00: Presentations
8:00 to 9:00 Write the Docs Social at Brown's Social House (160 Elgin St #1).
Please consider attending the social event at Brown's so we can make things extra celebratory for the holiday season / end of year !!

Refreshments will be served.

Please note that there is a limit of 50 attendees for this meet up. The first 50 people that RSVP will be guaranteed a spot.
