Hello and Welcome to All

The mission of this group is to collectively heal as we write about our experiences. Anyone interested in growing and evolving through reflective writing is not only welcome but encouraged to participate. Although this group was started by someone else in one direction, I would like to take it in another. Let's use this platform as a meeting place to commune, heal, write, and share. My goal is to share writing prompts (but you don't have to use them) weekly and then the following week we can meet via Zoom and those who want to share can read their work to us. The purpose is to help each other heal from unresolved issues, provide different perspectives, and to create deeper connections.

Here is my introduction:

My name is Nadia M. I am a Boston, Massachusetts native but I've lived in Georgia since 2009. I currently live in Midtown Atlanta. I am a self-help/self-healing advocate, a book lover, and a regular writer. I journal every day and I'm currently working on writing a book. I'm so excited to get to know you all and hear your stories.

By remaining stuck in the power of our wounds, we block our own transformation. We overlook the greater gifts inherent in our wounds- the strength to overcome them and the lessons that we are meant to receive through them. Wounds are the means through which we enter the hearts of other people. They are meant to teach us to become compassionate and wise."

Thank you to all those who attended this week's meeting. It was an honor to get to exchange ideas and listen to your perspectives. It was wonderful getting to talk to you.

- Suggested minimum writing of 500 words (1 page) on the topic
- Meetings are an invitation to share your work and receive feedback if you would like

Describe how your emotional needs are or are not being met by your romantic partner OR define what a fulfilling partnership looks and feels like.

Describe who you are now and then write about a character trait you would like to change/alter/improve.
