Talk Title: Another Notch in Your Lipstick Case - Improving Your Screenshot Game

Ever wondered if you could automate your screenshots? The answer is yes. Ever wondered if you should automate your screenshots? Here are some things to consider. In this talk, Lana draws from sometimes painful experience to consider some of the benefits and drawbacks of screenshot automation and outlines some of the things you need to think about before you can hit your docs with your best shot.

Speaker bio:
Lana Brindley got eaten by a grue in the late 80s, and hasn't been quite the same since. More recently, she's been hanging around in the open-source community, and generally making a pest of herself. She lives and breathes technical documentation, information architecture, and agile docs, and is perpetually in pursuit of the perfect piece of content. She hasn't found it yet.

Talk title: "KISS: Keep it simple, screenshot"

Do you struggle to keep your screenshots up to date because those pesky product teams keep changing them constantly on you? There's a way you can freeze time with your product interface screenshots and still give your users accurate, descriptive user interface screenshots.
Jared is going to share a secret weapon in your tech writer toolkit you can use to make the relevant bits of your screenshots and product interfaces jump off the page, or take a busy user interface and make it "simple". It will save you time, translation costs, and design cycles. But most importantly, it will keep your sanity and delight your users.

Speaker bio:
Jared has been writing about software products for fifteen years, and during that time took a gap year in the world of product development. He hasn't been the same since! He's the co-host of both the Write the Docs and BlahCade Pinball Podcasts and sticks his nose into open-source projects when he can.
