Deploying and Hosting Docs as Code

The docs as code philosophy encourages technical writers to adopt the same tools and practices as software developers. A more recent trend in software development is DevOps, in which developers take more ownership of deploying and hosting their code.

This talk will illustrate how technical writing teams can also take ownership of deploying and hosting their documentation libraries, which can relieve reliance on a separate operations team. To do so, we'll introduce several infrastructure as code tools and show how they can integrate with version control, static site generators, and other popular docs as code practices.

Speaker Bio:

Nathan is a technical writing editor on the docs team at Linode and is responsible for managing Linode’s freelance technical writing program, Write For Linode.
