Whether you're a newly-minted technical writer, looking to get into the profession, or a seasoned campaigner - bring your ideas, questions, and resources for this session. We'll talk about getting into the tech writing field and getting up to speed once you're in.

The topics we will discuss include:

• First job as a technical writer (both landing the job and doing the job)
• API documentation
• Contributing to open-source projects (if you have an open-source plug, bring your pitch!)
• Staying current with in-demand technology
• Compensation and negotiation
