• ANNOUNCEMENTS & OPEN DISCUSSION
Please let us know by April 24th if you have anything to announce or share with the group. It can be on anything loosely related to documentation, open-source software/community, your work, Write the Docs, job openings, job searches, etc.

Regardless, we'll set aside 10-20 minutes at the start of the meeting to share news and chat informally about what's going on with everyone.

Let us know via Slack (via the #socal channel) or privately message Marcy, Jen, Liz, Andrea (@marcyh, @dangerjen, @liz_mcfarland, or @andrea).

Alternatively, leave a comment on this Meetup page and one of us will get back to you.

• PRESENTATION BY JUSTIN LUI
We're having a presentation by Justin Lui (Creative Technologist at Sparks)!

Justin Lui is a designer and artist pursuing the integration of responsive media in the physical world. He includes art-making, electronics, UX design, spatial design, and DJing in his mix of skills.

Join us for a presentation about the making of an LED art piece named Poly-Mer, which incorporates the Raspberry Pi computer, Arduino microcontroller, Processing language, LEDs, and up-cycled plastic contact lens trays (among other things).

Justin's presentation will also touch on various aspects of the project’s iterative development, including versioning/version control, written documentation, and visual documentation (e.g., photos, videos, and diagrams).
