Orlando Word Lab

This is a writing workshop that will focus on learning a new technique or method each month. A guest speaker will share a sample of their work and then give a writing prompt for everyone to follow.

We'll all write for 30 minutes, and then share our work with others, and receive helpful suggestions about what to improve. Bring your laptops, tablets, or notebook and pen and a willingness to learn.

This month, Nate Hyatt will teach us about writing comic strips and comic panels, featuring his own work, Conscious And Nonsense. He will explain how writing comic strips work and then we'll have a chance to work on some of our own.

Nate Hyatt is the creator. Not of the Universe, but of a comic strip called Conscience And Nonsense. He studies language and teaches English to adults from other nations. He is a plant daddy, makes YouTube videos, and plays guitar. Nate is an advocate for social justice in mental health.
