What we’re about
Our mountain ranges are some of the best in the world. We are quite lucky that way. It offers a whole lot of everything; hiking, mountain biking, road biking, downhill skiing, backcountry skiing, and tons more! I have been out hiking, backpacking, cross country skiing, and mountain biking. I love it all and am thirsty for more. I have always wanted to try something different ... kayaking around the Vancouver Island area, mountain biking in Squamish, cross-country skiing in Vernon, portaging in the beautiful Ontario parks, and much more. Unfortunately, my weekdays are jam-packed which makes it hard to play in new places. I know I am not alone when it comes to busy weekdays!
My goal through this meetup is to organize trips around a mix of activities and xplore our local grounds. More importantly, get a break from our busy lives, enjoy the outdoors, and have a ton of fun with fellow xplorers! I'll start with hiking & backpacking for now.
Check out some of our upcoming events and feel free to message me if you have any questions or suggestions!
Thank you for joining & I look forward to meeting you!

**Joe and I will arrive by 2:00pm.**
We will be volunteering in the AM for a different part of the H4H event happening off-site, but this public event does start at 1pm if you want to arrive sooner than 2pm to check out the outdoor events. If you're still around by the time this event ends at 5pm and would like to volunteer to clean-up, both Joe and I will be there.
(I work at KWCS as their Admin & Ops Coordinator, and it takes a lot of hard work from the Event Planners to put this event on from setup to clean-up. The more people to help out, the faster these hard workers can get home!)Hope to see you there! ~Sandie
