ABOUT YTG WORKSHOPS Want to study acting? You're in good company! The members of this group are people just like you: people who are interested in actor training in Japan. Some members are just beginning, others are seasoned pros who want to expand their expertise or take a refresher class. No matter who you are, you're welcome in this group and in our classes. Don't be shy! Come and join us!
ABOUT THE CLASSES Most of our workshops run in Yokohama, within easy reach of Tokyo, with the occasional Tokyo class thrown in. We run mostly 8 - 12 week long intensive classes, with the occasional shorter workshops thrown in. Once every semester, we run a "Day of Theatre", a whole day of Acting workshops. Our instructors are all conservatory-trained in their specialties. We generally run some combination of Scene Study, Shakespeare, Voice, Movements, and Stage Combat classes. We've got some other ideas as well, so stay tuned.
SOCIAL! This group will also be used for getting together to see local shows or just to hang out with other people who are interested in Theatre and acting.
